We're pleased to have Guest Artist Mimi Huszer Fagnant teaching Viking Knit at Albion Beads! Mimi is an accomplished lampworker and bead artist. Viking knit is the process of weaving (wire looping) around a form with wire to create a chain. Viking knit dates back to the 8th century Scandinavia (the Viking era).
In this workshop, you'll learn the wire looping technique and complete a bracelet made with sterling silver wire and a lampworked bead, designed especially for these bracelets.
Kits include sterling silver wire, sterling silver findings and beads, instructions, tools and a lampworked bead made by Mimi. Come in to see our sample Viking knit bracelet!
